Wild Hill Maasai Mara Landscape

Wild Hill Maasai Mara

Set atop Kileleoni Hill, the Maasai Mara’s highest point, this five-room retreat blends into the landscape with living grass roofs, panoramic views, and immersive wilderness experiences.
Wild Hill Maasai Mara

A secluded hideaway for those who seek the soul of safari

Set high on Kileleoni Hill—the highest point in the Maasai Mara—Wild Hill is a five-room retreat carved into the edge of the land, offering panoramic views across the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem. Living grass roofs, bold cliffside architecture and sweeping decks create a strong visual harmony with the surrounding landscape. Inside, each suite is designed with natural textures, fireplaces, and open-plan spaces that invite rest and reflection. All feature panoramic bathtubs, indoor-outdoor showers, yoga mats, writing desks, and thoughtful comforts. Nabo, the two-bedroom suite, is ideal for families or friends travelling together.

The main lodge includes a wine cellar, infinity pool with hot tub, fully equipped gym, and rooftop yoga deck. A discreet entrance leads to the Wild Wellness Spa, complete with sauna, cold plunge, salt bath, and hair salon. Spa treatments draw on local ingredients and traditions—think Maasai herb compresses, rewilding facials, and quartz salt scrubs—while sunrise yoga, guided meditation and sound baths invite deeper reconnection. The surrounding landscape also offers space for play, with a pickleball court and fitness terrace overlooking the plains.

Interior Wild Hills Maasai Mara

Days at Wild Hill are unstructured by design. Game drives are tailored to each group, with private vehicles and guides from the local community. Guests can explore on foot with guided walks to ancient petroglyphs, the rhino sanctuary or along the ridge of the hill. Through the Mara Training Centre, visitors can engage with conservation projects including tree planting, regenerative agriculture, and women-led enterprises like beading, candle making and soap production. Helicopter safaris, photography hides, and Maasai warrior games complete the experience.

Dining is grounded in sustainability and seasonality, with most produce grown on-site in the Wild Shamba garden and supplemented by local farms. Meals can be taken on the deck, by the spa, under the stars or around the firepit, accompanied by complimentary cocktails and carefully selected wines. With just five rooms, Wild Hill offers something rare: a retreat that feels private and personal, rooted in place and purpose—where safari living is reimagined as still, soulful and deeply connected to the land.

“THREE HOLIDAYS IN AND STILL HIGHLY RECOMMEDED”
Dan Mills organised perfectly a challenging itinerary to incorporate a wedding we were attending in Kathmandu. A fantastic balance of trekking, rafting, safari, sightseeing and R&R. This was our third holiday with Ultimate Travel and we cannot recommend highly enough

“TRIP TO THE TOP OF THE WORLD”
Everything about our trip was excellent. While it’s a considered investment, the service more than justifies the cost. We loved the accommodation – beautifully chosen and thoughtfully located. Our guides ranged from grear to truly exceptional. And the places we visited? They exceeded all expectations. Peru is an extraordinarily beautiful country, and this journey gave us a real sense of its wonder.
