ARAMNESS, GIR NATIONAL PARK

LUXURY WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE

On the fringes of Sasan Gir National Park, the last remaining refuge of the Asiatic lion, Aramness has taken the luxury wilderness experience in India to new heights.

Modelled after a traditional Gujurati village, respect for the natural environment is at the heart of this lodge. The 18 suites – beautiful sanctuaries with vast bathrooms and shaded courtyards were built with reclaimed stone and wood from local villages. The swimming pool was designed after the step-wells of Gujurat, whilst the sandstone towers of the main haveli were hand-carved by local masons. Delicious Indian fare is at the heart of the dining experience, with meals served outdoors under twinkling lanterns.

As well as being the only place outside of Africa where a lion can be seen in its natural habitat, forays into Gir National Park will also introduce you to a myriad of elusive wild animals and birds – think leopards, Gir foxes, Asiatic wild ass, spotted chital, pygmy woodpecker and the brown fish owl.

“FLAWLESS, AGAIN”
This is the third time I’ve used TUTC. The service, as before, was flawless. Aside from putting in place all the major details of a complex trip to Japan, Dan at TUTC nailed every detail: train tickets were for seats with large luggage space (very important in Japan, as we discovered); a mobile internet wifi was included; together with a pre-charged use-pretty-much-anywhere travel card (again, important – Japan has multiple transport companies). For any kind of complex trip I won’t go anywhere else.

“MONGOLIA STOLE MY HEART – A JOURNEY I’ll NEVER FORGET”
It was one of the best trips of my life. The itinerary you crafted for us was absolutely perfect; I wouldn’t have changed a thing. What made it even more special was the incredible team who looked after us. Edda was fantastic, and the two drivers we had for the Orkhon Valley and Gobi sections of the trip were possibly the best I’ve ever had.

“THREE HOLIDAYS IN AND STILL HIGHLY RECOMMEDED”
Dan Mills organised perfectly a challenging itinerary to incorporate a wedding we were attending in Kathmandu. A fantastic balance of trekking, rafting, safari, sightseeing and R&R. This was our third holiday with Ultimate Travel and we cannot recommend highly enough
