SIX SENSES PARO

ULTRA-LUXURIOUS LODGE ON THE SITE OF OLD STONE RUINS

Set amidst the forested mountains of Bhutan’s Paro Valley, the exclusive Six Senses Paro puts you in touch with some of the country’s most breathtaking natural scenery.

The property is housed within some 12th-century ruins just above the Paro National Museum, an enviable spot that affords some incredible views across the valley and mountains beyond. Each of the 20 open-plan suites are generously sized with timber furnishings, Himalayan rugs and traditional wood-burning stoves, whilst large picture windows make the most of the landscape.

The food is organic and served banquet-style, but you can also enjoy an authentic Bhutanese meal at a local farmhouse.

Days are dedicated to exploring the treasures of the valley, from guided mushroom foraging to sunrise hikes to the revered Tiger’s Nest Monastery. The lodge also serves as a great jumping-off point for various treks, including leisurely valley floor walks and more intense day-long treks into the surrounding mountains. When not outdoors, guests can enjoy a few laps in the indoor pool or quiet contemplation in the meditation area. Alternatively, retreat to the sublime Six Senses Spa.

“EXPERTLY TAILORED, EFFORTLESSLY ENJOYABLE”
We travelled to Indochina in January/February with an itinerary designed by 91³Ô¹Ï – and it was spot on. Rob, our consultant, really understood what we were looking for and created a journey that suited us perfectly. The choice of hotels was excellent, and the pace was just right, with enough time built in to relax and recharge between the different experiences. The service throughout was professional, personal and thoughtful – exactly what you want from a travel specialist.

“SERVICE THAT GOES THE EXTRA MILE”

The service we received from 91³Ô¹Ï was second to none. Tania took the time to understand exactly what we wanted and helped us explore every option clearly and thoroughly. Her first-hand knowledge of Kenya and safaris made a real difference – she explained everything brilliantly. The thoughtful extras, like the travel wallet and documents, were such a lovely touch – especially for someone who loves to travel well-organised! Thank you so much. We’ll definitely be back for future adventures.

“FLAWLESS, AGAIN”
This is the third time I’ve used TUTC. The service, as before, was flawless. Aside from putting in place all the major details of a complex trip to Japan, Dan at TUTC nailed every detail: train tickets were for seats with large luggage space (very important in Japan, as we discovered); a mobile internet wifi was included; together with a pre-charged use-pretty-much-anywhere travel card (again, important – Japan has multiple transport companies). For any kind of complex trip I won’t go anywhere else.
