THE OPPOSITE HOUSE, BEIJING

SIMPLE BUT STRIKING

Designed by renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, the style, layout and architecture of The Opposite House indicates a seamless fusion of the old and the new.

The bold emerald glass exterior, inspired by traditional Chinese wood lattice, reflects the dynamic atmosphere of the Taikoo Li Sanlitun area. The large central atrium is simple but striking, showcasing art installations from some of China’s top emerging artists. The hotel’s contemporary design continues its presence in the 99 guestrooms where you’ll find uncluttered interiors, clean lines and natural wood floors. All rooms are fitted with king sized beds, rain showers, deep soaking oak tubs and LCD TVs, in addition to luxury amenities like 400 thread count cotton linens, French press coffee and mood lighting systems.

Two celebrated restaurants, Jing Yaa Tang and The Village Cafe, serve regional favourites alongside fine international cuisine, whilst Mesh, the trendy lounge bar, offers a selection of original cocktails.

The Guest Experience Team provide a personalised yet unobtrusive service, and are on hand to book you a table at a top restaurant or simply provide advice on the best excursions and experiences to enjoy in the city.

“IN SAFE HANDS, EVEN WHEN PLANS CHANGE”
Every detail of our Patagonia tour was expertly arranged – from transfers and flights to the choice of hotels. When our onward flight to the Falklands was delayed by two days, 91³Ô¹Ï stepped in immediately and secured a hotel for us. It was an enormous relief, especially as we don’t speak Spanish and had no idea what to do next. That level of thoughtful, responsive service stayed with us – it turned a potential travel hiccup into a lasting positive memory.

“MONGOLIA STOLE MY HEART – A JOURNEY I’ll NEVER FORGET”
It was one of the best trips of my life. The itinerary you crafted for us was absolutely perfect; I wouldn’t have changed a thing. What made it even more special was the incredible team who looked after us. Edda was fantastic, and the two drivers we had for the Orkhon Valley and Gobi sections of the trip were possibly the best I’ve ever had.
